Wellness Water
Water is essential for life, and the best water is essential for the
best quality of life.
It is not enough to buy bottled water
-- that is no guarantee of
purity, much less healthfulness. Plastic bottles contribute
plasticizers to the water, and they have the effect of synthetic
hormones. Besides, bottled water is far
too expensive, and also is wasteful, with all those bottles littering
the landscape.
It is not enough to have a filter.
That will clean out many of
the impurities, but does nothing to make the water better for
you.
It is not enough to use distilled
water or reverse-osmosis water. The resulting ultra-pure
water is great for temporary detoxification, but, if used exclusively,
will deplete the body of vital minerals, including from the
bones. Zoltan P. Rona, M.D., M.Sc., reported in Return to the Joy of
Health (Alive Books, Burnaby BC Canada: 1995) the results of his
testing: "After doing blood and hair mineral analysis on over
1,000 individuals, I've discovered that people who drink distilled or
reverse osmosis filtered waters exclusively have a generally low level
of minerals." p. 20
The best known water is glacier melt from such locations as the Hunza
Valley. If you don't have the option to get your drinking water
there, you can come very close by drinking your water from a Wellness Filter.
The best water absorbs very quickly, carrying with it the potential for
optimum wellness. If you need nutrition, you need it NOW, and the
best water carries it to your cells most quickly. If you are
exhausted, you need revitalization NOW, and the best water revives
dehydrated tissue most rapidly.

Once you have the very best water, then you need to drink enough of it
and at the optimum times. A general guide for quantity is one
ounce per day per two pounds of body weight. A 128 pound person
would thus drink about 64 ounces of water (two quarts) daily.
When you exercise strenuously or have hot weather, more water would be
appropriate.
To get the full benefit, drink your water when it will have the most
benefit. Most critical is to drink at least a glass of water
half-hour before eating. That water ensures that the digestive
system is hydrated and ready for food. Also drink upon arising, a
couple hours after meals, and enough in between to reach the daily
quota. Drinking with meals is not necessary and may interfere
with digestion.
Most beverages, especially coffee, tea, and manufactured beverages
(soda and alcoholic beverages) do not hydrate!
In fact, they dehydrate! If you must consume them, then
you need additional water to make up for the body's water lost because
of these diuretics.
